Retired in Ann Arbor: Grillin' 2012!

Each year, we try to attend the Grillin' event,  a benefit for Food Gatherers-- an amazing local organization that is the lead agency in this area for hunger relief.  Although this is one of the more expensive things to do in the summer in Ann Arbor, ($50/ticket)-- $40 of each ticket is tax deductible, so we are happy to pay it each year.

This year, nearly 48,000 people will receive food thanks to the food donors, financial supporters and 6,000 volunteers involved with this cause.

The Washtenaw County fairground is the location for this great event, that includes food, beer and wine, kid's arts and crafts and games, live music, and a silent auction.

Sunday was a warm, sunny day-- a perfect time to head to the fairground, drink some Arbor Brewing beer, enjoy some music from local bands, and support this worthy cause.   And of course, since Zingerman's is such a large presence in this event, the volunteers are always very efficient and friendly.

What a great day for a picnic!
