45 degrees and rain.......LOVELY.

So here is another Sunday with lousy weather--  but in all, the past week has been very fun!  On top of Midnight madness and Kerrytown Kindle-madness, we managed to get our tree from our favorite pop-up tree store:  Virgil and Jim's.  They don't have a website, but can be found on Jackson Road, between Wagner and Zeeb.  They have good prices on a great selection of trees, including Concolor and our favorite, Fraser fir.

We have also gone to 2 concerts at Hill Auditorium-- one of my favorite venues.  Last weekend we saw the Canadian Brass-- which was as fun and entertaining as usual, and last night, we went to the annual performance of Handel's Messiah.  The stage and music were both sparkling.  It features the UMS Choral Union, which has now performed this great work 133 seasons in a row-- yes, the Choral Union started performing in 1879, right here in Ann Arbor.
The other activity of note was the dam to dam walk (with a detour into TreasureMart and Kerrytown) that we did on Friday morning.

It was cloudy when we started out, but eventually, the sun came out.  It wasn't bad for  5.8 miles (we use an app called mapmywalk that is pretty cool), although my feet were rather tired by the end, even wearing my hiking boots.  There are parts of the path that are fairly wet, so don't venture out in shoes.
We started at the parking lot at Bird Road and W. Huron River Drive, and walked to Bandemere Park, then a big loop to downtown and back (on opposite sides of the river), then back to Bird Park.

I can't resist checking out Treasure Mart!

No crew boats until spring--

Have a nice Sunday afternoon!
